The countdown for one of the most anticipated sporting events in Ghana this year has begun for the KGL Group Millennium Marathon 2025 has been slated for September 6, 2025.

The marathon, which is spearheaded by the KGL Foundation, the group’s CSR arm, has the theme “DARE TO DO: RUN WITH PURPOSE”, promises not just a run but a movement of passion, purpose, and perseverance.

Set to take place on Saturday, 6th September 2025 at 6:00 AM, the event will start from the iconic Independence Square in Accra, drawing thousands of runners, fitness enthusiasts, and community changemakers from all walks of life.

The KGL Foundation has also made an appealing reputation for itself as an arm of the KGL Group with immeasurable investments into health and sports as part of its social responsibilities.

Marking its 5th anniversary this year, the upcoming event is one of the many activities to commemorate this significant milestone.

The Millennium Marathon has been described as more than a race, but an experience by the organisers. This year’s theme is to encourage participants to push boundaries, pursue wellness, and run for a cause.

The event features a 21km half-marathon for elite athletes or a 5km fun run for casual runners.

The rationale for having two categories within the event is to create a fun experience while maintaining competitiveness.
