Kylian Mbappe has moved up the UEFA Champions League All Time Goalscorers chart after scoring a hat-trick of goals in Real Madrid’s latest win in the 2025-2026 campaign of the tournament.
The Frenchman starred in Real Madrid’s 5-0 hammering of Kazakhstan’s Kairat Almaty away from home to move up to sixth place in the scorers’ chart with 60 goals. Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo leads the chart with 140 goals.
Mbappe bumped Bayern Munich legend Thomas Muller to seventh place; Muller has 57 goals in his career in the Champions League.
Despite achieving this feat, Mbappe believes he should have scored more in the game as he reflected in his post-game interview after picking up the Man of the Match Award.
“A player like me, when I have five chances I should score five goals. Today, I scored three and that’s good but I could have scored more. I’ll keep working to be more clinical in front of goal” Mbappe said to Movistar.

On his second goal that was assisted by Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois’ long punt, Mbappe said, “I don’t know if he meant to do it, but it’s a great pass. He made 80% of the goal and I made the other 20%.”

Real Madrid take on Villarreal in the league on Saturday, October 4 at 19:00 GMT.
