Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has expressed deep concern over injuries to Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount.
The players picked up the injuries in Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Burnley in the English Premier League for the Red Devils’ first win of the season.
Cunha called for a substitution in the first half over a hamstring issue while Mount was substituted at half time as he was dealing with an injury in the course of the game.
Speaking in the post-game interview with Man United media, the Portuguese coach highlighted how important the pair is to the team.
“It was hard to lose Cunha and Mason Mount. I’m concerned about that, because they are so important for us. We will see.”

“I don’t know [how they are], I don’t know. We will check them. We need those guys really bad to be really competitive” Amorim said.

Manchester United take on Manchester City next on September 14 after the international break.
