It took just little over a minute for Lamine Yamal to announce his return from injury to register an assist on FC Barcelona’s winning goal against Real Sociedad.
Yamal came off the bench in the 58th minute to assist Robert Lewandowski’s headed goal to give Barcelona a 2-1 win over Real Sociedad. Jules Kounde scored Barca’s first off a Marcus Rashford corner kick.
The 18 year old who finished second in the Ballon D’Or rankings to Ousmane Dembele of Paris Saint-Germain but won his second Kopa Trophy-Young Men’s Player of the Year Award-had missed four games prior due to a groin injury.
Speaking after the game, Sociedad head coach Sergio Francisco expressed his feelings about the Spanish winger stating,
“Lamine [Yamal]’s presence on the pitch alone is a threat. It is so difficult to stop him, even bringing on fresh players from the bench to defend him.”

“It’s great to watch him play. He showed again that he is most likely the best in the world. His introduction off the bench decided the game.”

Yamal and Dembele won’t face off on Wednesday, October 1 when Barcelona host PSG in the UEFA Champions League at 19:00 GMT as the Frenchman has been ruled out of the game with an injury.
