Real Betis Football Club sporting director Manu Fajardo believes that Antony might well be the best signing in the Spanish club’s history.
He said this after Antony’s latest display of brilliance as a Real Betis player after leaving Manchester United on a permanent deal this offseason after playing the second half of the immediate past campaign on loan at Betis.
Despite flaming out as one of the biggest flops in English Premier League history after failing to excel at Man United following a staggering 95 million euros deal from Ajax Amsterdam, Antony has been brilliant for Betis and registered an assist and a goal in Betis’ 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest in the Europa League prompting Fajardo to say to the PA News Agency,
“I am 100% sure that maybe Antony is the most important signing in Betis’ history.”

“Everything [about the signing] because the talent, the level of the player, the level of the club as Manchester United — a big team, a big project, so I am 100% sure that Antony is the best signing in Betis’ history.”
