The Quarterfinal Draw for the Carabao Cup has been held leading to a handful of very exciting games set to be played later in the year for places in the semifinals. The games will be played out during the weekend of December 15.

Cardiff City, the only non English Premier League side has been drawn against Chelsea. The Blues survived a big scare in its 4-3 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers to reach the quarterfinals.

Defending champions Newcastle beat Tottenham Hotspurs 2-0 in the previous round with recently signed striker Nick Woltemade continuing his fine start to life at St. James’ Park by scoring Newcastle’s second goal.

In the quarterfinals, Eddie Howe’s team will take on Fulham while Manchester City take on Brentford in a tricky tie for Pep Guardiola’s team.

Arsenal on the other hand, will be engaged in a London derby against Crystal Palace. Arsenal beat Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 while Palace moved to Anfield to inflict more misery on Liverpool by beating the Reds 3-0.
