For the second season in a row, Ghana’s Spintex Knights Basketball Club will compete in the Divisional (West) Round of the Basketball Africa League (BAL).

The qualifiers to the main competition of the continental championship that takes place next year had Spintex Knights secure their ticket by finishing second in Group B of the Zonal qualifiers.

Knights beat Elan Coton of Benin 63-53 in the final round of games for its second win in three games and finish second behind Cote D’Ivoire’s Jeunesse d’Abidjan.

Jeunesse completed the zonal qualifiers with a flawless record by beating L.P.R.C. Oilers from Liberia 76-47 to top the group.

On a relatively quiet night for Knights star James Amotoe who registered 13 points, six rebounds and three assists in 33:23 minutes, youngster Abdul Aziz Yakubu stepped off the bench and provided the spark Spintex needed to overcome the challenge.
