Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach Abdul Karim Zito has stated that he is trying as much as possible to manage his squad to avoid burnout as the Porcupine Warriors look to balance life competing in the Ghana Premier League and in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Karim Zito talked about this “balancing act” in his pre-game presser ahead of Kotoko’s big game against city rivals Nations FC on Saturday, October 11 at 15:00 GMT.

Nations FC will host Kotoko at the Kwame Kyei Sports Complex with the Porcupine Warriors aiming to beat Nations for the first time and Karim Zito says he is rotating the playing squad as a way of dealing with fatigue. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“I’m trying to economize some of the players. I’ve had an experience from Dreams FC chasing Africa [Confederation Cup] and playing in the league, we nearly got relegated so I’m using that to improve upon what I did there that wasn’t right and do it better here.”

“Some players will play, some won’t play. Luckily for me, I have about two three players per position. If I go with one set, I will have a problem.”
