For the first time in his time as Manchester United head coach, Ruben Amorim has led his team to back to back English Premier League wins.
Manchester United beat Sunderland 2-0 just before the international break and followed it up with an impressive 2-1 win over Liverpool after returning from the international break at Anfield.
Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire scored for Man United in the big win to move the club to ninth place in the league standings.
Liverpool lost for the fourth game in a row in all competitions but for Amorim, bagging two EPL wins in a row, was an important mark chalked in his first full season at the club.
“It’s everything combined for the fans if you ask them on two wins in a row after so many years, it is really important for me that is back-to-back, it doesn’t matter about the opponent it is just the feeling of winning.”

“The important thing is to think three in the row and that’s the focus” Amorim said to the BBC after the game.

Man United next take on Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday, October 25.
