Minister of Sports and Recreation Kofi Adams has shared that head coach of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, Otto Addo, wasn’t happy with his comment by the Minister describing him as a “lucky coach”.

He shared this information in an exclusive interview with Citi FM’s News Digest where he assured fans who throng the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 11 to watch Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier Comoros, of a great ambiance at the venue. (Click highlighted text to read full story).

Touching on Ghana’s almost certain qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Sports Minister shared that Otto Addo wasn’t enthused being tagged a “lucky coach”.

“He’s done his bit, he’s done well and we give him credit. Despite the criticism of some of his decisions which I share sometimes, he’s come through as a coach that has been quite lucky.”

“Even Otto Addo himself, he wasn’t happy that I described his situation as…. as lucky” Kofi Adams said.
