Asante Kotoko head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, has admitted his side was wasteful in front of goal but says he is satisfied with the point earned against Vision FC.

The Porcupine Warriors were held to a goalless draw by Vision FC in their outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture on Wednesday, a result that lifts them to 7th place on the league table.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Zito expressed frustration with his side’s missed opportunities but acknowledged that an away draw was still a valuable result.

Asante Kotoko draw against Visions FC

“We were very, very wasteful at the third end where Vision was. We created some chances ;  we should have scored at all costs, but we were not focused

“At the end of the day, I’m okay with the point because this is a league. You go to play an away game, and you don’t win or lose ;  that’s not good. So to me, I’m content with the one point, looking at how the game went.”

Asante Kotoko will next face league leaders Aduana Stars in what promises to be a crucial clash as they aim to climb further up the table.
