Stamford Bridge witnessed a thrilling clash on November 30, 2025, as Chelsea held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw despite being reduced to 10 men.

The game started cautiously, with both sides feeling each other out. Arsenal dominated possession, but Chelsea looked dangerous on the counter. Early yellow cards for Marc Cucurella and Zubimendi reflected the high intensity of the encounter.

The match turned in the 38th minute when Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo was shown a red card after a VAR review of a late tackle on Mikel Merino. Most expected the hosts to crumble, but Chelsea refused to back down.

Just after the break, Chelsea stunned the Gunners. From a corner, Trevoh Chalobah managed to flick the ball into the net, giving the ten-man hosts the lead in the 48th minute. Stamford Bridge erupted.

Arsenal, determined to get back into the game, made key changes, bringing on Martin Odegaard and Noni Madueke. Their pressure paid off in the 59th minute. Bukayo Saka’s brilliant cross found Merino, who calmly headed the ball past Robert Sanchez to level the score.

In the closing minutes, Chelsea showed courage, launching a few counter-attacks through Neto and Liam Delap, but Arsenal’s defence held firm.

The match ended 1-1, a result that reflected Chelsea’s resilience and Arsenal’s inability to capitalize on their man advantage.

For Chelsea, it was a point earned through character. For Arsenal, a reminder that even against ten men, they could not win this game
