Tottenham Hotspurs manager Thomas Frank has addressed the incident that took place after his team’s loss to Chelsea in a London Derby.

Spurs lost 1-0 to Chelsea at the Tottenham Stadium in one of the worst performances from the home side in years prompting several boos from fans after the game.

Tottenham attempted just three shots in the game and finished the contest with an xG [Expected Goals] mark of 0.05 which is the team’s worst since the 2012-2013 season.

Spurs defender Micky van de Ven and winger Djed Spence walked straight to the tunnel after the game and ignored Thomas Frank’s request to show appreciation to the fans but Frank says the incident is just a “small issue”.

“I think that [it] is one of the small issues. They [van de Ven and Spence] are doing everything they can. They perform very well so far this season and everyone is frustrated.”

“All the players are of course frustrated. They would like to do well, they would like to win, they would like to perform well, so I understand that.”

“I would say that, of course, hurt massively. I’ve never been in charge of a team that created that little in one game, never. So that, of course, I will look into what we can do to make it better” Frank said per ESPN.
