The 2025 Regional Ministers Cup has been launched in Sunyani, introducing a fresh football initiative under the John Ansah–led GHALCA administration.

The launch, held at the Regional Coordinating Council’s Conference Room, sets the stage for a thrilling double-header slated for 4th December 2025 at the Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa.

Fans will be treated to a fierce Brong Ahafo curtain-raiser between BA United and Bofoakwa Tano at 12:00 noon, before the spotlight turns to the main attraction Aduana Stars vs Berekum Chelsea at 3:00 pm.

Organisers say the Regional Ministers Cup is designed to promote recreation, entertainment, youth motivation, and peaceful coexistence across the region, using football as a tool to strengthen community engagement.
During the official launch of the competition, Bono Regional Minister Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboa announced that Aduana FC and Berekum Chelsea FC will each receive an appearance fee of GH₵40,000.

The competition is the first major innovation introduced by the current GHALCA leadership, described as the “child birth” of the John Ansah administration.

With top-flight sides and deep-rooted rivalries on display, the Agyeman Badu Park is expected to buzz with excitement as fans converge for the maiden edition of the Regional Ministers Cup.
