Manager and representative of Former Black Stars Striker, Asamoah Gyan, has dismissed circulating reports suggesting that former Black Stars Midfielder Sulley Muntari was arrested in Dubai.

In an official statement shared on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account, Anim Addo confirmed that Muntari is safe and currently residing in Dubai, where he is focused on his personal affairs and business activities.

He urged the public to disregard the false reports making the rounds in sections of the media, stressing that the outlets responsible for spreading the misinformation must retract their statements and issue an apology.

Anim Addo further cautioned that failure to do so would result in legal action by Muntari’s lawyers.

The post, signed by Anim Addo on behalf of the player, has since drawn attention online, with many fans expressing relief over the clarification.

This statement comes after earlier reports claimed that the ex-Black Stars midfielder had been arrested in Dubai, a development that has now been officially denied by Muntari’s camp.

“Sulley Muntari is safe and currently residing in Dubai, where he is focused on his personal affairs and business activities.”
