Chelsea FC head coach Enzo Maresca has bemoaned the lack of quality shown by his team in the final third in its latest outing in the English Premier League.
His reaction came on the back of Chelsea’s goalless draw against AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium in a tough game for either team.
The draw marked the second game in a row the Blues missed out on a win; in a midweek clash prior to the Bournemouth game, Chelsea 3-1 to Leeds United.
Speaking to Sky Sports at the Vitality Stadium after the game, Enzo Maresca was far from impressed with his team’s attacking play even in the face of Cole Palmer’s return after a two month injury related absence.
“I think we tried to win the game. We had some chances.”

“I said many times it’s important not to lose when you don’t win. We missed a bit of quality in the last third” Maresca said and spoke about Cole Palmer’s return saying,

“He-Cole Palmer- was good. After a long time, he played for some minutes and now he needs to build his physical condition.”

Chelsea take on Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League next on Tuesday, December 9.
