Liverpool FC head coach Arne Slot has fired back at Mohamed Salah by delivering strong worded statements in response to the Egyptian’s shocking interview where he complained bitterly about how he has been treated by the club in recent weeks.
Speaking in a pre-game presser ahead of Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League tie against Inter Milan at the San Siro in Italy, Slot was puzzled by Salah’s statement that he had been “thrown under the bus” by the club. Salah has since been dropped from Liverpool’s travelling party to Italy. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
Salah made the above mentioned statement after Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds United in a game where Salah was an unused substitute. In response, Slot said according to the BBC,
“I would need to know what he-Salah- means by it and why he says this, who he is referring to. Usually I’m calm and polite but that doesn’t mean I’m weak. I don’t feel that my authority has been undermined. It’s not the way I feel it.”

“We let him know that he’s not travelling with us so that was the only communication that there has been from us to him.”
