Morocco head coach, Walid Regragui, has shared the ultimate goal of the Atlas Lions ahead of the 2025 AFCON final on Sunday, January 18.

Morocco take on Senegal in the final aiming to win the title for the first time in 40 years and Regragui says the North African nation isn’t looking to win this year’s tournament and just be content with it but to be consistent with winning it.

Morocco lost to Tunisia at the 2004 AFCON final and ahead of the game, Regragui disagreed with suggestions about having European referees officiating AFCON games. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“The goal of Morocco is not just to play this final, to win it and be content with it for 50 years. It’s to come back in two years, in four years and still be there.”

“To be consistent, and to end this negative streak” Regragui said at a pre-game presser.
