Liverpool FC midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai says his team’s draw with English Premier League leaders Arsenal is a step forward for the club after enduring frustrating draws in their last two games.
The Reds picked up a goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium against the Gunners; Arsenal dropped points to miss out on the chance to build up an eight point lead over second ranked Manchester City.
Speaking after the game, Szoboszlai was happy with the fight from his team and highlighted the positives from the draw to Sky Sports saying,
“We faced an unbelievable team. This was a step forward after recent weeks and, yeah, we showed again against a team that is top of the table we can compete and we need to take it with us for the next weeks.”

“I think it’s always about fight because in the Premier League you have to fight to get results and today each of us, everybody, showed we are able to do it.”

Unlike previous games where the Hungarian international was used as a make shift right full back, Szoboszlai played out the entire duration of the game through the middle behind forward Cody Gakpo with Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong filling the spots on the right side.
