Majeed Ashimeru’s stay in Belgium continues with the Black Stars midfielder sealing a move to Jupiler Pro League side RAAL La Louvière. The loan deal for Ashimeru is set to end once the 2025-2026 season concludes; he joins La Louvière from RSC Anderlecht.
After struggling with injuries for a significant period, Ashimeru played just four games for Anderlecht’s minor side in the Challenger Pro League this season prior to the move.
Ashimeru is La Louvière’s fourth signing in the January transfer window as the club makes moves to bolster its squad to beat relegation. At the time of writing, RAAL rank 13th in the 16 team league standings.
“Welcome to the Easi Arena Majeed!” a section of a club statement read regarding the move.

28 year old Ashimeru joins fellow Black Stars player Jerry Afriyie at RAAL.

Afriyie, who has also starred for Ghana’s Under 20 National Team, has three goals and an assist in 21 games in all competitions.

Ashimeru’s move comes at a time when the Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is preparing to name his squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
