Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has bemoaned the present state of the club as the Porcupine Warriors endure a poor run of form.

Zito said this to the club’s media ahead of Kotoko’s Ghana Premier League tie against Bibiani Gold Stars at the Dun’s Park in Bibiani.

Defending league champions Gold Stars host Kotoko on Saturday, January 17 at 15:30 GMT; Kotoko head into the contest after losing 2-1 to Swedru All Blacks in Swedru and drawing goalless with Berekum Chelsea at home.

In a desperate attempt to address the club’s scoring woes, Kotoko have signed Albert Amoah from Libyan side Al-Ahly Benghazi on loan.

Kotoko sold Amoah late last year to Benghazi in a very controversial move and Zito is aiming at getting Kotoko’s identity back.

“I told them my piece of mind that I wasn’t happy, we did not do well, the identity is getting missing which is very bad.”

Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito

“We started [the league campaign well] but getting to this period, it is not going well. We should improve and stay focused to play better and then score” Zito said.
