Medeama head coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed confidence in Kamaradini Mamudu’s ability to succeed in the Sudanese league.

The Ghana international recently completed a three-and-a-half-year transfer to Sudanese powerhouse Al Hilal from Medeama.

The 23-year-old defender impressed in the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League season, scoring eight goals—the highest tally by a defender and netting five goals after matchday 20 alone.

“Kamaradini is a really fantastic guy, not only on the pitch and outside the pitch, he’s also very, disciplined. It’s very painful that we are going to miss him, but I think life must go on. He also has to look for somewhere else and to try to continue his career.

“I wish him very well. I hope that he will go there and then like he did here. Definitely, we are going to miss him, but I think we still have three
right backs and that can also step on his feet.

Mamudu, who has earned two caps for the Black Stars, leaves Medeama at the top of the Ghana Premier League, eight points clear as the club pursues its second league title.

He joins Al Hilal, who currently lead the Rwandan Premier League following the ongoing conflict in Sudan.
