After a terrible start to life at Liverpool and in the English Premier League, Florian Wirtz is putting together a decent run to close out his debut season and his latest performance proves it.
The German international scored a goal and provided and assist for Hugo Ekitike to score of his two goals in Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Newcastle United.
In 31 games in all competitions, Wirtz has scored five goals and added seven assists and has seemingly struck a good rapport with Ekitike who has described Wirtz as a great player to TNT Sports by stating that,
“He is a great player and it is easy for me to play with him”

“I like to create play and link-up, I can do everything with him as a player and I know that I can create space and he will find me, so it is just fun to play with him.”

“I want to score loads of goals and I want to be the top scorer of the club but I just want to be involved the team I just like football, if I give an assist I don’t mind. I think it is nice to give the confidence to the players.”
