Liverpool head coach Arne Slot believes his team can do better even after scoring a 6-0 win over Qarabag in the UEFA Champions League group stage at Anfield.

The big win qualifies Liverpool to the round of 16 stage automatically; Liverpool join four other EPL teams to progress. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Mohamed Salah scored in the win with Alexis MacAllister bagging a brace of goals.

It proved to be the perfect response for Liverpool after the Reds suffered a 3-2 loss to AFC Bournemouth in the league this past weekend.

Despite the win, Arne Slot, who has come under heavy criticism over Liverpool’s slip to fifth place in the league, called for more improvement from his team.

“I’m very pleased with the performance. We know we can still improve – and need to improve – in both boxes, but it was a very good performance.”

“It’s always important to get the early goals to get the crowd on our side. We know we can do even better, but we’re pleased” he said to UEFA.
