Liverpool FC full back Jeremie Frimpong has described scoring his debut goal at Anfield as a relief with the Dutch player’s goal coming in a big win for Liverpool in the FA Cup.
The Reds bagged a 4-1 win over lower league side Barnsley in the third round of the competition at Anfield to progress to the next stage.
Liverpool have since been drawn to play against Brighton and Hove Albion on February 14 at 15:00 GMT in the fourth round of the competition.
Speaking to the club’s media after the game, Frimpong was delighted about getting a goal in front of Liverpool fans at the club’s iconic home ground.
“It’s my first goal at home. It meant a lot to me because obviously I’ve been injured for most of the time in Liverpool.”

“To score this goal was really like a relief. I just want to help the team and I want to use my ability. I’m just happy to be on the pitch and playing football. I’m happy” Frimpong said.
