Aston Villa manager Unai Emery is dealing with an injury crisis that threatens to derail the team’s ambitions of making a deep run in the Europa League and maintain a top three spot in the English Premier League.
While dealing with injuries to John McGinn and Boubacar Kamara, one of the most important players for Aston Villa, Youri Tielemans been ruled out of action for an extensive period.
The Belgian international picked up an ankle injury in the team’s win over Newcastle and will be sidelined until April which compounds the team’s crisis in the process.
“Tielemans is eight to 10 weeks out. Kamara is not going to play this season. McGinn is six to eight weeks out. After those updates of those players we need to manage the centre midfield in the matches we are going to play.”

“Kamara, he had surgery. He had it and he’s going to be out for the rest of the season” Emery said according to the BBC.

Villa have signed former player Douglas Luiz on loan from Juventus as a means to mitigate the crisis.
