Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has stated that the football body has invested $100,000 in the acquisition of footballs for clubs competing in the Ghana Division Two and Three Leagues. (Scroll down to watch video)

He said this in an interview with GFA media that had him share that 2025 was a very good year for Ghana football compared to 2024 that had Ghana fail to qualify to the 2025 AFCON.

Compared to the 2024 season, Ghana qualified to the 2026 FIFA World Cup while the Black Queens won bronze at the Women’s AFCON.

While touching on development projects undertaken on the domestic club front, Kurt Okraku stated that over the past two years, the GFA has invested significant money to acquire footballs to Division Two and Three clubs to aid their operations.

“We are investing $100,000 a year for the past two years in the acquisition of footballs and purchase of footballs for our division two clubs and division three clubs across the country.”

“Each RFA (Regional Football Association) now receives a good amount of football to redistribute to our clubs so I think that the idea to ignite passion via these strategic interventions is very clear for everybody to see” he said.
