Liverpool FC head coach Arne Slot is confident his team can finish the 2025-2026 season on a strong note after stating that there is a lot more to come from the Reds.

His comments came after Liverpool easily handled Brighton and Hove Albion by beating the English Premier League side 3-0 at Anfield in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Curtis Jones, Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah scored in the win that qualifies Liverpool to the fifth round. Salah scored from the penalty spot after getting fouled in the box by Pascal Gross.

In an interview with the BBC after the win, Arne Slot had issues with his team’s wastefulness in front of goal but delighted with the impressive performance from his team.

“Satisfying because we scored three and that’s not really been coming for us. To create a lot of chances has been. To score three with the chances we did have has not happened that many times this season so I am really pleased with that.”

“In the end we get players back. It is fair to say we have developed a lot from two, three or four months ago. Most of these players are young so there is a lot more to come from them.”

“Giving them time to adjust also cost us too many points that is also clear but the team is in a good place at the moment” Slot said.
