Black Starlets assistant coach Nana Kweku Agyemang believes the team’s ability to keep clean sheets against Division One League sides Port City and Koforidua Semper Fi reflects the hard work during training.
The Black Starlets earned a confidence-boosting win over Division One League leaders Port City in a competitive pre-tournament friendly, with captain Joseph Narbi scoring an early decisive goal.
They maintained their strong momentum with a solid 2-0 victory over Semper Fi at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday February 18, marking their second match of the day following the earlier 1-0 triumph over Port City FC.

“We want to know how they react when they are playing against these sides. The fact that they didn’t concede, that’s good. But I mean, last week we played against Na God and another team. I think we conceded in both games.

“Although we still won, but we conceded in both games. So, the fact that this time around they didn’t concede, it tells a lot about the work that we are doing at the moment. I think that the boys did well”
These results highlight the technical team’s deliberate push to improve match fitness and tactical cohesion as preparations intensify for the 2026 U-17 AFCON set for April in Morocco.
