Ahead of a crunch Ghana Premier League tie against FC Samartex this weekend, Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko says there is no need to panic over the Yellow and Mauve’s reduce lead atop the league standings.

Medeama had its lead reduced to five points after drawing 1-1 with Aduana Stars Accra Hearts of Oak beating Kumasi Asante Kotoko 1-0 in the immediate past round of games.

Medeama host Samartex at the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa on Sunday, February 22 in a clash involving two recent league champions and Ibrahim Tanko is calling for calm ahead of the big game.

“There is no need to press the panic button. We know from the beginning that the league is a very strong league and we still have 12 games. All of us-competing teams- have very tough games ahead of us so I don’t think we should press any panic button.”
