Manchester United’s Dutch player Tyrell Malacia was expected to leave the club in the midseason transfer window after struggling for playing time.
However, reports coming in during the final hours of the midseason transfer deadline day point to Malacia staying put at the club with potential transfer moves to Turkey turned down.
The former Feyenoord left full back will play for the Red Devils till the end of the season as Man United view him as a fine back up in the face of Patrick Dorgu’s serious injury.
Dorgu picked up a hamstring injury during Man United’s 3-2 win over Arsenal and has since been ruled out for 10 weeks due to the injury.
Prior to the injury, Denmark’s Dorgu was enjoying his best run at Man United since joining the club from Lecce as he scored in wins over Manchester City and Arsenal in United’s revival under interim head coach Michael Carrick.

Malacia will serve as a cover for left full back Luke Shaw with Noussair Mazraoui battling for the right full back spot with Diogo Dalot since Amad Diallo has been used as a winger under Carrick unlike recently sacked coach Ruben Amorim.
