Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored his ninth goal of the 2025-2026 season to aid Leicester City clinch a much needed win.
Issahaku scored Leicester’s second in a 2-0 win over Bristol City in the EFL Championship to end an extended winless streak.
The win was also Gary Rowett’s first as interim Leicester City manager with the win also coming via Rowett’s first clean sheet as manager of the club.
The goal pushed Fatawu Issahaku close to recording double figures in both goals and assists; the Black Stars winger has nine goals and seven assists in 36 games in all competitions.
Speaking after the game, Rowett was impressed with Issahaku’s finish off his weaker right foot and the move that led to the finish.

“I think we made like similar 18 passes in the buildup. Abdul [Fatawu Issahaku] ends up with a volley with his right foot. It’s a thunderbolt; getting in the right position on the back post but it’s good up play first, it’s nice composed play” Gary Rowett said after the win to Leicester City media.
