Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Prince Yaw Owusu has decried the lack of wins by his side at its home venue, the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, saying it hurts a lot.

Prince Owusu confessed this in his pre-game interview with Kotoko media ahead of the club’s Ghana Premier League tie against Karela United in Tamale.

Since 2017, the Porcupine Warriors are yet to win in Tamale and head into the contest in inconsistent form after losing to Accra Hearts of Oak 1-0 and drawing goalless with Vision FC.

In both games, Kotoko played with a man advantage for the entirety of the second half at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Kotoko rank fourth in the league standings ahead of the clash and Prince Owusu reflected on dropped points by his team particularly in home games.

“It’s not easy at all. A lot of thinking about what’s going on, what is happening, why Kumasi, all those things cross my mind. It hurts a lot because my fans also are in Kumasi and this is where we have to satisfy them and it’s not happening. It’s very difficult for us” Prince Owusu said.
