Benjamin Asare leads 32-man squad for Black Galaxies

Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare leads a 32-man home-based squad named for the Black Galaxies.

The squad, made up exclusively of locally based players, is set to report to camp on Monday, April 20, following its release by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as part of preparations and player assessment ahead of upcoming international assignments.

The team is expected to represent Ghana in an international friendly against Mexico on May 22, 2026, in Mexico.

Asare is one of two Hearts of Oak goalkeepers included, alongside Solomon Agbasi.

From Asante Kotoko, Patrick Asiedu, Hubert Gyau, and Albert Amoah earned call-ups, while Swedru All Blacks striker Rudolf Mensah also secured a place in the squad.
