For the fourth year in a row, Manchester City will compete in the final game of the Emirates FA Cup after qualifying to the final 2025-2026 season edition.
Man City came back from a goal down to beat Southampton 2-1 in the semifinals with Jeremy Doku and Nico Gonzalez scoring in the final 10 minutes of the game to turn the game around.
Pep Guardiola’s side won the FA Cup in the 2022-2023 edition but finished in second place in back to back finals prior to progressing to this year’s final game.
After witnessing his team’s quick turnaround to get the win, Pep Guardiola went on to praise his team’s extraordinary second half output.
“Exceptional [performance]. It was difficult but the wingers when they came in changed the pace. Football is always unpredictable but the way we played in the second half was extraordinary.”

“No team has made four finals in a row [before]. It’s extraordinary and hopefully we can arrive with a good momentum” Guardiola said to the BBC.
