Ghana defender Maxwell Woledzi delivered another top performance in what has been a brilliant start to life at Nashville SC since joining the club earlier this year.

Woledzi’s strong display for Nashville aided the club to clinch a shock 1-0 win over Club America to progress to the semifinals of the CONCACAF Champions Cup after drawing goalless in Nashville in the first leg.

By beating Club America, Nashville made history by becoming the first MLS (Major League Soccer) Team to win at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico.

Woledzi, whose consistent top performances have firmly placed him on the radar of the Black Stars, played out the entire duration of the game.

The 24 year old defender made 10 defensive contributions, six recoveries and added seven clearances in the game.

Reacting to the win on his X (formerly Twitter) page, Woledzi wrote, “Alhamdulilah, Hakuna Matata Semis”.

The Right To Dream Academy product signed a three and a half year deal with Nashville after leaving Norwegian side Fredrikstad where he won the club’s Player of the Year Award.
