Sexual assault allegations against Ghana international Thomas Partey continue to grow, with the former Arsenal midfielder denying a new set of claims in court.

Partey appeared before Southwark Crown Court in England on Monday, April 13, 2026, where he pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape allegedly committed in December 2020 during his time in London.

The latest charges bring the total number of rape allegations against the player to seven since his legal troubles began.

In 2025, Partey was charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault relating to incidents said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022, with a trial initially scheduled for November this year.

He remains on bail under conditions that require him to inform police of any international travel. A pre-trial hearing has been set for May 14.

According to the BBC, the new allegations are likely to delay proceedings, with the trial now expected to be pushed to a date next year.

After a five-year stint at Arsenal, Partey returned to Spain to join Villarreal on a free transfer.
