Manchester United defender Harry Maguire praised interim Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick while taking a shot at the man Carrick replaced, Ruben Amorim after Man United took another big step towards sealing UEFA Champions League qualification.
The Red Devils beat Brentford 2-1 at Old Trafford to take a three point lead over fourth ranked Liverpool and move closer to returning to Europe’s elite competition.
Casemiro and Benjamin Sesko scored for Man United in the win as Bruno Fernandes registered his 19th assist of the season to be one shy of tying the English Premier League record held by Thiery Henry and Kevin De Bruyne who had 20.
Speaking after the game to Sky Sports, Maguire was happy with the win over a tough opponent since Man United fell short in such outings under Amorim.

“The results speak for themselves, since the manager has come in, and the formation has changed, we just seemed to pick up results.”

“I think that the games previous, when Ruben was here, the games were 50/50, but we always ended up on the back of a defeat” he said.
