Swedru All Blacks head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle believes his side deserved a much higher finish in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season instead of battling relegation.

All Blacks headed into the final round of matches needing a victory against Asante Kotoko to secure survival.

The Swedru-based club delivered with a 2-1 win at the Baba Yara Stadium, thanks in part to Rudolf Mensah, who scored his 11th league goal of the season.

Mensah, a former Liberty Professionals striker, played a key role in All Blacks’ promotion campaign after netting 27 goals in 30 matches in the Access Bank Division One League.

Speaking after the win, Kassim Ocansey said his team had the quality to finish among the league’s top four sides.

“We shouldn’t have been where we are now, we would have been competing for the top four but it’s good we’ve survived.”

“We are going to rebuild the team and next season we will be competing for the top four” Mingle said.

🎥 “We should not have been in this position. We could have been competing for a top-four spot. We will rebuild and compete strongly next season.”
