Anthony Edwards praised the San Antonio Spurs after they dismantled the Minnesota Timberwolves 139-109 in Game 6 of their playoff series to book a place in the NBA Western Conference Finals.

The 30-point victory marked another dominant performance from San Antonio in the series as they now prepare for a blockbuster Western Conference Finals clash against defending NBA champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Spurs guards De’Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle starred with 32 and 21 points, respectively, while Edwards finished with 24 points for Minnesota.

Speaking after the defeat, Edwards admitted San Antonio was simply the better side and also reflected on the absence of injured shooting guard Donte DiVincenzo.

“I mean, I just tip my hat to them. They’re just the better team. He spreads the floor like no other.”

“In a series like this where they’re just double-teaming, I would love to have Donte [DiVincenzo] in my slot and just throwing it to him the entire time and shoot 20 3s, but he got hurt last series, so we tried to figure it out” Edwards said.
