In the outstanding English Premier League fixture between Manchester City and Crystal Palace, the Cityzens delivered a dominant performance to score a straight forward 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium.

The win kept City in touching distance of league leaders Arsenal who hold a two point lead over City at the summit of the league standings.

The win also had Ghana’s Antoine Semenyo score his first goal since March 4 in a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest and the Black Stars forward was visibly relieved to find the back of the net after a near three month goal drought. Semenyo improved his league tally to 16 goals and four assists in 35 games with two games left to play.

Speaking after the game to Sky Sports, Man City manager Pep Guardiola shared that staying in the title race as long as possible was his focus while crediting Semenyo’s finish.

“Really pleased. We try to be alive until the next game, which is Bournemouth. These type of games you can prepare but in the end you break for the quality. It is simple.”

“We can talk about the managers, this and that, but after Phil [Foden] is incredible in small spaces and make a great ball for Antoine [Semenyo] who scores. That decides the game” Guardiola said.
