Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has made it known that winning the 2025-2026 English Premier League title is out of the club’s hands.
He shared this in a pre-game presser with City set to take on Brentford on Saturday, May 9 needing to win to stand any chance of clinching the league title ahead of Arsenal.
Arsenal hold a five point lead over Man City with the Gunners having just three games left to play while Man City have played a game fewer and Guardiola says winning is all his team can do to stay alive in the title hunt while praising in-form winger Jeremy Doku.
“I love to play at home, what can I say. So hopefully they can come and put pressure on Arsenal. Winning our games is all that we can do. The goals, the assists, also contributing defensively… yeah. Jeremy (Doku) has been amazing this season. Amazing” Guardiola said.

Arsenal take on West Ham on Sunday, May 10 at the London Stadium with the Hammers needing a win to stay alive in its fight to avoid relegation.
