MTN FA Cup Committee Chairman Wilson Arthur has confessed that the upcoming MTN FA Cup Final will also serve as big sendoff party for the Black Stars.
Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars, will compete at this year’s World Cup alongside England, Panama and Croatia at the group stage.
The FA Cup Final between Dreams FC and Nations FC takes place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday, May 31.
The matchup between former champions Dreams FC and Nations comes ahead of the Black Stars friendly game against Wales on June 2.
“We’ve packaged a very exciting event, it’s going to be the last competitive event that will send off the Black Stars to the World Cup so we are doing a big football sendoff party for the Black Stars” Wilson Arthur said in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports and added that

“Those are surprises [Black Stars players’ appearance at the FA Cup Final] we are working on a lot of possibilities. We are working with the GFA to see what we can have.”
