Oklahoma City Thunder recovered from losing the opening game in the NBA Western Conference Finals to tie the series after two games and OKC guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander acknowledged that his team did a better job than it did in the opening game.

Recently minted NBA Most Valuable Player Award winner Gilgeous-Alexander starred in OKC’s 122-113 win in Game Two over the San Antonio Spurs.

He registered 30 points and nine assists in 38 minutes in the win with six teammates scoring in double digits.

After delivering an outstanding 41 points and 24 rebounds in Game One, Victor Wembanyama was slightly restrained to 21 points and 17 rebounds in Game Two.

Speaking ahead of Game 3 which takes place on Saturday, May 23 in San Antonio, Gilgeous-Alexander said,

“Tonight we just did a better job of that than we did in the first game. We’re still going to have to keep getting better throughout this series if we want a chance to win a series. They’re a good team, a good defensive team — really good. They check all the boxes” Gilgeous-Alexander said.
