Medeama Sporting Club head coach Ibrahim Tanko has commended his team for managing the pressure stemming from its chase of the 2025-2026 Ghana Premier League title.
The Mauve and Yellow hold a two point lead atop the standings over Bibiani Gold Stars with three games remaining for the season.
Medeama recently beat Basake Holy Stars 1-0 away from home despite standout midfielder Salim Adams missing a penalty kick attempt to maintain its lead position in the league standings.
Speaking after the win, Ibrahim Tanko was pleased with the performance of his team particularly with his players’ handling of a pressure filled situation.
“We have to go till the end to be sure that we have won the league so definitely, we are going to take the rest [of the games] serious.”

“We are all managing it very well because we have to be talking to them-the players-always especially in this game. We had to have a lot of conversations with them because of the pressure but I think they did very well” Tanko said.

Medeama take on Kpando Heart of Lions at home on Sunday, May 17.
