After a tumultuous five year run with English Premier League side Manchester United, Jadon Sancho’s time at Manchester United has come to an end.

Man United announced Sancho’s release alongside two other members of the first team in a statement on Wednesday, June 10.

The 20 time EPL Champions had the option to activate the sixth year on Sancho’s contract but declined to do so bringing Sancho’s time at the club to a close.

Aside Sancho, the club confirmed the exits of Brazil midfielder Casemiro and Dutch defender Tyrell Malacia. The contracts for the duo weren’t renewed after running their respective course.

Sancho joined Man United on a 90 million Euros deal from German side Borussia Dortmund and won the Carabao Cup with the Red Devils under Erik Ten Hag.

However, Sancho fell out with the club and was loaned out multiple times to clubs like Chelsea and Aston Villa. His time with Aston Villa had Sancho win the Europa League title.

“Everyone at the club would like to thank Casemiro, Tyrell and Jadon for their contributions to Manchester United and wish them the very best of luck for the future” the club stated.
