Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club’s Executive Chairman James Osei Brown has a positive outlook for the club following the appointment of Stanley Purl Menzo as the Porcupine Warriors’ Director of Football.

The appointment was announced via an official club statement in the wake of Kotoko’s terrible 2025-2026 Ghana Premier League campaign. (Scroll down to read full statement)

The Porcupine Warriors cycled through three coaches to finish eighth in the league standings recording 10 draws, 11 losses and 13 wins in 34 games.

Karim Zito, Prince Yaw Owusu and Hamza Yaw Obeng served as head coaches for the club in the recently ended season leading to the appointment of the former Ajax goalkeeper and former goalkeeping coach of the Dutch National Team and Kotoko’s Executive Chairman fully backed the appointment.

“Stanley Menzo brings a rare combination of elite playing experience, proven leadership and genuine global perspective.”
