Ghana defender Baba Rahman says he is gutted by the Black Stars inability to beat Wales in a pre-2026 World Cup friendly game.
He made this known via a post on X (formerly Twitter) in the aftermath of Ghana’s 1-1 draw with Craig Bellamy’s team in Cardiff.
Rahman, who was introduced to the game in the 85th minute, lost his one-on-one matchup with Neco Williams who went on to provide the assist for Lewis Koumas’ goal.
The game was PAOK defender Baba Rahman’s first outing with the Black Stars after a lengthy period from the team. It was also Ghana’s first game under Carlos Queiroz and Rahman believes the Black Stars will get better.
“Gutted we could not get the win last night, but this a marathon not a sprint.”

“We will get there. This group will give everything for this precious shirt. God bless our homeland Ghana” Baba Rahman said.

Ghana is in line to play another friendly game against a yet to be determined opponent before taking on Panama, Croatia and England in the group stage at the World Cup.
