Hearts of Oak and Black stars Goal keeper, Benjamin Asare

‎‎Accra Hearts of Oak have strongly denied reports claiming the club has placed a transfer valuation on goalkeeper Benjamin Asare following his impressive performances for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
‎
‎In an official statement released on 15 July 2026, the Ghanaian giants described the reports circulating in sections of the media and on social media as “false and without factual basis.”
‎
‎The club stated that it has not assigned any transfer value to Asare and has not authorised any individual or media outlet to communicate an asking price on its behalf.

‎
‎“The Club wishes to state, unequivocally, that these reports are false and without factual basis. Accra Hearts of Oak has not placed any valuation on Benjamin Asare, and has not authorised any individual or media outlet to communicate a transfer fee or asking price on its behalf.”

‎
‎The statement comes amid growing speculation over Asare’s future after the goalkeeper attracted widespread attention with a series of standout displays for the Black Stars at the World Cup.
‎
‎While dismissing the reports, Hearts of Oak acknowledged that, as a professionally run football club, it remains open to considering offers that would be in the best interests of both the player and the club.

‎
‎“As a professionally run football club, Hearts of Oak remains open to receiving and considering offers that serve the best interests of both the player and the Club. However, no official valuation has been communicated at this time, and any figures currently in circulation are speculative.”

‎The club urged media organisations, supporters and stakeholders to disregard any unverified claims regarding Asare’s transfer value and to seek confirmation through official Hearts of Oak channels before publication.

‎
‎“The Club urges the media, our supporters, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard unverified reports regarding Benjamin Asare’s transfer value, and encourages all media organisations to confirm information through official Hearts of Oak channels prior to publication.”

‎Hearts of Oak also expressed pride in the goalkeeper’s achievements on the international stage and congratulated him on his performances for Ghana.

‎
‎“Accra Hearts of Oak remains immensely proud of Benjamin Asare’s achievements and congratulates him on his outstanding performances on the international stage.”

‎
‎The club added that it remains committed to supporting Asare’s continued development while safeguarding the integrity of its operations.
‎
‎The statement was signed by Management of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club PLC.
