Inter Milan legend Ivan Cordoba is happy about the imminent addition of John Stones to the Italian club this offseason. Stones is set to have a medical with Inter Milan on Thursday, July 29.
English defender Stones is expected to sign a two year deal with Inter Milan after featuring in England’s 2026 FIFA World Cup bronze medal winning campaign.
Finishing third at this year’s World Cup behind winners Spain and silver medalist Argentina, represented England’s best finish at the World Cup since winning the competition in 1966.
32 year old Stones left Manchester City after a decade run with the club at the end of the 2025-2026 season with his time at the club earning him the UEFA Champions League, multiple EPL and Carabao Cup titles and Cordoba approved of Stones’ impending arrival in Italy.

“This is the opportunity. I said it long ago: he’s one of the defenders I admire most. He would be an excellent addition” Cordoba said to Gazzetta Dello Sport.

Inter Milan won the Italian Serie A title last season in head coach Cristian Chivu’s debut campaign.
